To aware and enhance the knowledge of faculty members on ODOP Scheme AKTU organized one day Faculty Development programme “Capacity building in Academia for implementing ODOP scheme” at UPID, Noida on 25 January 2020.
The objective of the program was industry academia interface with creativity, new product development, innovation, opportunity for entrepreneurship in association with Srijan Sanchar. The programme was attended by officials of AKTU and 65 + faculties from colleges affiliated to AKTU from various districts of UP with a dedicated ODOP product.
In the inaugural session of FDP, Prof. Virendra Pathak, Director, UPID expressed his gratitude to Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AKTU for mentoring and guiding UPID for conducting this workshop. He also expressed his deep appreciation to University for initiating the process for establishment of Centre of Excellence for ODOP.
In the first session Aditendra Jaiswal, Lead Enabler Sijan Sanchar outlined its unique methodology of idea generation techniques and emphasised on the visionary thought of “Make In India” taking it further to “Think in District”, “Make in District”. He discussed with the faculties about new technologies and how we can implement them in the districts to maximise the productivity.
Mr. Hemendra Aran, founder of Aranca a multinational consulting organization and mentor at Srijan Sanchar conducted a session on identifying and improving the components across the value chain of products under ODOP. Ms Sonia Gurnani an International Fashion Designer shared her views on relevance and role of academia and importance of design for the product development.
Dr Roopak Vashist CEO and Managing Director AMHSSC spoke on the skill development across the value chain of human resource and how academia can enhance the skills of artisans involved in the ODOP product development.
During the valedictory function Mr Kumar Sambhav outlined the next phase of organizing industry academia collaboration workshops at colleges in the host districts of ODOP products. He summarised the day’s proceedings with vote of thanks.
