Dr. Kalam Entrepreneurship League

With the vision of healthy competition in terms of startup and entrepreneurship and boost Startup and Entrepreneurship culture among Institutions University launched  Dr. Kalam Entrepreneurship League. The university is awarding top two institutions who score the maximum points (score) on every three month and the entire rank table is displayed on the university website circular section. The evaluation of points is based on below point table:

Dr. Kalam Startup Parikrama is a state-wide effort to foster entrepreneurship and help startups. It is a campaign for potential entrepreneurs, students, existing startups, and colleges affiliated to AKTU, especially the ones who have the potential but are reluctant due to lack of knowledge. A basic level incubation center (K-CIIS) is established in A.K.T.U. to nurture the entrepreneurial energy of students and boost startup culture across all affiliated colleges of the University. Kalam Centre for Innovation and Incubation of Startups (K-CIIS) is organizing one day event at college campuses where workshops are conducted on startup and entrepreneurship followed by business plan competitions (pitching competition) to identify best startup plans from college campuses.

About E-Cell/Startup Cell Setup

Grade A (40 Points)

1. There should be space of 1000 sq. ft. or more dedicated to startup incubation facilities.
2. There should be at least one 3D Printer dedicated to startup incubation facilities.
3. There should be laser cutter machine and other equivalent machines.
4. There should be at least one dedicated faculty to the startup incubation facilities as a mentor.
5. There should be a tinkering lab dedicated to startup incubation facilities.

Grade B (25 Points)

1. There should be space of 800-1000 sq. ft. dedicated to startup incubation facilities.
2. There should be at least one 3D Printer dedicated to startup incubation facilities.
3. There should be laser cutter machine and other equivalent machines.
4. There should be at least one dedicated faculty to the startup incubation facilities as a mentor.

Grade C (15 Points)

1. There should be space of 600-800 sq. ft. dedicated to startup incubation facilities.
2. There should be at least one 3D Printer dedicated to startup incubation facilities.
3. There should be at least one dedicated faculty to the startup incubation facilities as a mentor.
