Dr. Kalam Startup Parikrama Edition 28 at REC Kannauj

In the process of promoting the innovations and entrepreneurship culture among the students and alumni of engineering institution affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow organized a workshop on “Promotion of Startup Culture in India” under Dr. Kalam Startup Parikrama Supported by Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme-III (TEQIP-III) and K-CIIS (Kalam Centre for Innovation and Incubation of Startup) at Rajkiya Engineering College, Kannauj on 13 September 2019.

Approximately 200 students participated across the state from the affiliated engineering colleges of AKTU.  The inaugural session took place by lightening of the lamp.

Welcome address was given by Dr. Neelam Srivastava, Director Rajkiya Engineering College, Kannauj. She motivated students for innovation and entrepreneurship. Keynote speaker Dr. Shri Shakti Vinay Shukla,  Director Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) discussed various opportunities and success stories of startups in this sector. Another keynote speaker Mr. Rahul Patel (S-IIC IIT Kanpur), interacted students and shared various schemes and opportunities for budding startups. He connected to the theme and explained how to promote startup culture in India.

In the idea pitching session more than 10 students presented their idea to the constituted jury panel. Jury panel identified best three ideas on the basis of nobility in idea, business plan, team, market potential etc.
