In the process of promoting the innovations and entrepreneurship culture among the students and alumni of engineering institution affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow organized a workshop on “Target Audience for Startups” under Dr. Kalam Startup Parikrama Supported by Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme-III (TEQIP-III) and K-CIIS (Kalam Centre for Innovation and Incubation of Startup) at GCRG Memorial Trust’s Group of
Institutions, Lucknow on 21 September 2019.
Approximately 200 young participants across the state from the affiliated engineering colleges of AKTU participated in this event. The program started by lighting of lamp by guest of honour Dr. U.K. Bajpai, Ret. Principal PNB IIT, Ms. Aditi Kumar, Head BioIncubator SIIC IIT Kanpur, Dr. A. N. Singh Director GCRG Lucknow and Dean and faculty members of college.
Dr. A. N. Singh given welcome address and discussed students on startup ecosystem and impact on indian economy. He motivated students for innovation and entrepreneurship. Dr. U. K. Bajpai inspired students for entrepreneurship and discussed principles of entrepreneurship. He told the students about the various startup opportunities in the country.
Ms. Aditi Kumar shared his experience and given examples to find target audience for startups. AKTU representative Abhishake Nandan shared various initiatives taken by the university to promote entrepreneurial activities in affiliated/ associated colleges.
In the idea pitching session more than 10 students presented their idea to the constituted jury panel. Jury panel identified best three ideas on the basis of nobility in idea, business plan, team, market potential etc.
